What I eat....

Contrary to popular belief (aka my mother's) I eat a lot. This is actually the reason I keep the weight off. For example, I love breakfast foods. For breakfast this morning I had scrambled egg whites, some turkey sausage, a little avocado, on a sandwich thin with a banana. Eating a lot of healthy protein throughout the day keeps me satisfied so I don't feel the need to eat the beckoning cheetos at 2pm. I needed the big breakfast this morning after swimming laps yesterday. I am not a great swimmer and it makes me starving. But I like that it works muscle groups and burns calories. So I am going to try and do it once a week. Currently I can swim about 36 laps (not in a row!). In another month I want to be able to swim 50. Little goals...

Just keep swimming right?

  1. Hi Manda!

I just stumbled across your (new) blog! I'm really excited to follow along. I, like you, am almost 5'10" and have just hit my heaviest weight, 235lbs. (OMG makes me sick) We're probably around the same age, I'm 24. I don't have a weightloss blog, in fact I just made a decision that it ends now and am starting out here... I was always thin and then go into the wonderful rut of a great 9 - 5 desk job... Anyway, just wanted to give you some encouragement to keep on going and keep the blog updated, I'm looking forward to following along with you.

  2. Thanks leah! I'm not an expert at blogging or weight loss but I'll keep writing about my life in the maintaing world. Not going to lie sometimes it sucks. But as I sit here in my happy size 8 pants it's worth it!
